Incivility

How far into incivility can you progressive Democrats go? You have been ravishing off the bone of hatred so long now it appears your goal is to become the most obnoxious person in public you can become. It’s not enough to disagree with someone, you must be disagreeable, you must denigrate them, you must scream at them while saliva grossly spills out of your mouth. If you think this hyperbole is over the top I’m watching you foam at the mouth and show me the worst of humankind. Frankly I’m sick and tired of your hysteria.

Some of you have honestly gotten caught up in this group hysteria. It will take some courage extracting yourself from the group and in doing so doesn’t require you to give up your beliefs, you can still disagree with the other, but it does require you to return to civility, the only place where real change can happen.

While Republicans have not always shown themselves as angels, at this moment in time it’s too many Democrats who are foaming at the mouth with hatred toward Trump and those who support him not winning friends with your insane behavior but enemies.

Two stories to show I’m not wrong:

“On Mother’s Day, employees at a Cheesecake Factory in Miami, Florida, verbally attacked and made threatening gestures toward a black man who dined with his girlfriend’s family simply because he was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, according to multiple witnesses interviewed by The Daily Wire.” (This story can be found HERE.)

“The New York Daily News slammed Ivanka Trump as “Daddy’s Little Ghoul” in a Tuesday cover story mocking the first daughter as “seemingly oblivious” for attending the U.S. Embassy opening in Jerusalem.

“The cover ridiculed Ivanka for being “all smiles” at the embassy opening while deadly clashes occurred in Gaza and evenreferred to her as a “deplorable” in a tweetpromoting the derogatory cover.” (This story can be found HERE.)

The news is filled daily with insults bursting with the most vile language against Trump, his supporters, anyone and everyone deemed to believe other than the progressive Democrats, like the Fresno State professor who couldn’t even control her mouth when Barbara Bush died. Or both Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama who both denigrated women for voting for Trump.

Name calling is not a rational argument, it adds absolutely nothing to the conversation, it only makes everyone angry. What I’m asking is that we return to civility, to stop this childishness, find common ground. Know we’re not going to win every argument. Losing doesn’t give us the right to reach for a bat and start swinging. Try it, you might like it.
